This Ceramic Shower in Athens Was Brought Back to Life by Our Tile and Grout Cleaners
May 30, 2023
To keep a shower from deteriorating, time and energy are necessary, making it challenging to maintain a shower looking beautiful. For a few months, this next customer had failed to clean and maintain his shower. That is until he realized how terrible it looked.
The homeowner noticed the poor condition of his shower and realized he had to hire professionals since it required more than a simple cleaning. Worried, he turned to the internet for help. The owner started looking online for the best tile and grout cleaners in Athens, GA. Thankfully, he discovered our website and saw examples of our work. He called us to request a free in-home inspection after viewing several video testimonials from satisfied customers and browsing our picture gallery.
On the morning of the appointment, our crew arrived at the homeowner's house to inspect the shower. The grout lines on the walls were in bad shape and the caulking was missing in several places. The grout had discolored throughout the whole shower, and the shower enclosure was not clean. The shower was filthy and had a bad overall look. These issues were most likely caused by excessive dampness and a lack of upkeep. We offered the homeowner our multi-step tile and grout cleaning procedure after analyzing the situation.
Our team returned to the customer's home, ready to continue with the restoration. Our crew began by soaking the shower's surfaces in a soap-free, pH-neutral cleaner. Our cleaner also has properties that help prevent the growth of mold and mildew. Our crew cleaned the entire shower. The most difficult-to-clean areas were cleaned using a steam cleaner.
We removed any moldy or deteriorating caulk. We applied new epoxy caulk once the surface had dried. ColorSeal was used to seal the grout lines on the shower walls after the shower was spotless. This is an acrylic-based sealer that keeps water, soap, dirt, stains, mold, and mildew out of the grout pores. ColorSeal comes in a range of colors, is easy to clean, and contains grout hardening agents to assist in preventing grout erosion.
When we finished, we presented the results to the owner. He was surprised by the new look of his shower. The owner couldn't believe how quickly the job was finished. He commended us on our work and said that he would promote Sir Grout Athens at his workplace.
Before we left, we provided the homeowner with recommendations on how to keep the shower in excellent condition. Our first recommendation was to clean the shower once a week with a soap-free, pH-neutral solution such as Sir Grout's Natural Hard Surface Cleaner. This cleaner is suitable for both tile and grout and leaves no residue, unlike other store-bought cleaners. We also recommended that the surface be kept as dry as possible. To do this, use a dry towel to wipe away any excess water. This procedure aids in the prevention of water seepage and mold and mildew growth.
